Antar Laniyan
Antar Laniyan is an actor and director, known for Sàngó: The Legendary
African King (1998), Arewà (2003) and Durodola (2005). He is a native of
Osogbo in Osun State and started acting professionally 33 years ago. He
grew up at the Army Barracks, Ilaro and initially wanted to be a
soldier, until during his years in secondary school when his principal
suggested to him to be a theatre artist. He went to a Muslim primary
school, then to Lagos Baptist secondary school and Jubri Martins for his
‘A’ levels, before proceeding to the University of Ibadan for a degree
in Theatre Arts. He is happily married with two boys.
