Anayo Modestus Onyekwere (popularly known as Kanayo O. Kanayo KOK,
born March 1, 1962 in Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria) is a Nigerian actor.
With 34 years in the industry, the Imo State- born In 2006 won the
African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He has
received several professional and service awards in Nigeria and abroad
including Afro Hollywood Award London 2000, African Actor of the Year
2006, Ambassador Award New York 2009 and Nollywood Award of Excellence.
In 1992 Kanayo made his debut film appearance in Nollywood's first major
film Living in Bondage. Kanayo has starred in over 100 films.He is
currently a UN ambassador and bears the title of MFR. He is happily
married to Nneka Onyekwere and we have a family of four. A girl and
three boys. They all live with Him happily in Lagos.
