Adekola Tijani an indigene of Oyo state born in the 70s has been in
the movie industry for a quite period of time and has done numerious
yoruba movies. He developed the passion for acting during his primary
school days between 1984 and 1989 at the Oyewole Primary School, Agege.
He later went back to Oyo for my secondary school education at the
Anser-ru deen Grammar School. He worked at the bakery, cleaning bread
cans to sustain himself. It was during his secondary school education
that he joined the Omoba Seyi Adeoye’s theatre group, precisely in 1992;
where he met Olaniyi Afonja, popularly known as Sanyeri. So after he
passed out from secondary school in 1994, Sanyeri and him went to Lagos
in search of greener pastures in 1995 which was the period of boom in
home videos. He joined a theatre group that year and since then hasn't
looked back. The break didn’t come until 2009 when he produced 'Kamilu
Kompo' which was a huge success for him and it opened the door to
stardom. He is married with a kid.
